Misconceptions about China:

what-my-dad-thinks-i-do

People have misconceptions about teaching in China, that have don’t really represent the realities of living and working in China. Whether it’s that the only reason to do is because it’s ‘good money’ or that it’s a chance to get drunk in some exotic nightclubs.

This not entirely accurate, the truth is that China CAN BE a lucrative opportunity that is both fun and rewarding – without the threat of a stuffy hangover the next morning. This does not mean that teaching in China means you have to tighten your budget and start a nunnery.

Reality of China:

Our ChinaTefler placements provide a competitive salary (averaging around £18,000 + over a month’s worth of holidays – excluding weekends). Alongside this, the availability of  cheap airline ticket prices and low cost of living  mean that you have ample time – as well as resources – to explore China’s vast array of breath-taking scenery, masterful artistry and culture that is as rich as it’s 4,000-year history is old.
